Tyler graduated with Honours from the Chemical and Biosciences Technology Diploma program at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
His work experience has included positions as a QC Microbiology Analyst at Apotex Fermentation Inc. and an R&D Laboratory Technician at Cangene Biopharmaceuticals, both of Winnipeg. Experience with instrumentation includes GC, HPLC, as well as IR and UV/VIS. He is fluent in French.
